Schooling is considered an integral part of human life in modren era because of the belief that it redefines the knowledge and personality of humans, we believe that it will secure our future for our benefit. But how far is this information correct? Lets find out!
The way I see schooling is the way monopolistic businessmen practice Business tactfully. To elucidate it even further, there are coaching institutes all around us that assures us to train the child hard enough to crack any tough entrance exam and master board exams. Hearing this piece of information, thousands of children attract towards them. But in the end, success elevates those, who were passionate from the beginning and rest falls of the track. Here, at this point, we've got a big brain drain. Reason being is, not everybody was provided with the right source of opportunity to channelise their energy to use it better and shine their way.
So why is it that we are producing quantity rather than quality?
It is because we are driven by industrialism. We consider it a sole basis of success. Rather, we measure success on the basis of money. And to earn that money, schools are producing workforce by setting a criteria to demonish the creativity in an indirect way to generate their results to get a response for future admissions. Therefore, the passion inside every child is being destroyed due to the redefined concept of academic intelligence which is being driven by uniformity and standardisations set by our education system.
To me this quest initiated by education institutions is quite distraughting because they poorly reject that learning could be more fun. The uncertainty of our future development will have glib impact on us, because its the right time for us to decide whether to be in robot driven world that lacks indigeneity or be in a world full of creative compassionate people.
We know that children are born as artists and creativity is as important as literacy, so why are we educating them out of creative capacities?
Maybe it's because we are underestimating the challenge to nurture creativity inside these artists and treating them in a way what we expect them to be.
So the thing is, how can we make sure that the education that we are providing is of the right kind or can we rethink the view of intelligence? Albeit it may seem difficult at first sight, but it's actually easy. All we have to choose are some sets of right subjects that are diverse, dynamic and distinct. You see, what we offer kids are just limited sets of streams that are insuffice to satisfy their creative demands. Moreover, we are burdening each individual with math-science subjects that sufficiently teach them the theoretical part but drops out the practical knowledge. Thus the purpose of education remains unfulfilled as the main focus is to attain good grades than good perspective. So why not teach them the subject of their interest the same as we teach them math? Despite knowing that it all depends upon the opportunities one get, but why not trust ourselves and try to channelise our energy in which ever way we want so as we could lit up the fire of passion.
Now how can we assist them?
Basically what we have to keep in mind is to maximise the number of those subjects that promote human intelligence. You see, most of the school board authorities never make a glance on why and where we are leading children by making them study the same stuff, the same knowledge that has been previously given to the previous generations. Its been pretty obvious that Thomas Elva Edison wasn't a good school boy, neither he liked going school. He was home schooled by his mother and during that period his curiosity towards experiments aroused and today because of him we have an amazing source of light which might have never been discovered if his mother won't take that step.
That's true that opportunities comes in working clothes, the one who work relentlessly and diligently, opportunities comes knocks on their doors, finds them capable for it and gives them rewards and for those who are not in their working clothes opportunities slams the door on their faces. So sometimes we have to recognise them.
We all know that creativity is a phenomenon that is constantly evolving and redefining itself with every new day. It is ironic that we are looking for alternative education despite knowing the fact that education is the most powerful thing in the world. So by ditching the primitive approach to modern education we must acknowledge the passion inside each and every individual and spark the creative fire inside them rather than making them obliged to learn something beyond their creative capacity.
Thank you.
